About Anthony Pierpont and Disabled US Veterans
I, Anthony Pierpont, am concerned with the living conditions of our Disabled US Veterans. I created this
site in honor of the thousands - millions really - of Disabled US Veterans - that are denied the basic
right of self-protection.
We teach our soldiers to protect themselves in time of war; we teach them to protect each other;
we even teach them how to live alone on the battlefield. However, it has become so very obvious
that we have not taught them how to defend and protect themselves when sitting in their living rooms with
handicaps and wounds sustained on the battlefield. We, us, our government have not thought the entire process
through to the end. Why are we allocating billions of dollars to war infrastructure and not to funds supporting
casualties of the war?
If you own a business, you are required to set money aside - through taxation - for unemployment benefits. The
government requires that we, as business owners, insure our own employees in the event we must unemploy them.
So, how is it that the government has forgotten to tax themselves in the event that their heroes who are
defending their right to live in the United States in peace, need their help?
I suppose the issue can be reduced to the squeaky wheel theory - we need more constituents, lobbyists, and politicians
fighting a ground war on their behalf here, in the United States. We need people to speak up.
This website is my contribution to their well-being: a resource that educates young and old
on the challenges and struggles that our Disabled American Veterans face on a daily basis and
to mobilize you!
